I'm Anna (she/they), a queer therapist specializing in trauma-informed, affirming, culturally inclusive therapy for adults. My client-centered, humanistic approach pulls from many different schools of therapy (narrative, psychodynamic, and cognitive among others). Boiled down, that means I believe no therapy style is one-size fits all, so I will work with you to find what works best to get you to your goals.

I pride myself on using non-traditional methods for those who want them, including the integration of video games during sessions to help ease tension, allow for stimming, and connect in-game quests to real life experiences. Because sometimes, just sitting face to face with someone can feel awkward or uncomfortable.

Getting you comfortable in session is one of my highest priorities. Because when we can laugh together, joke together, and be authentically ourselves it means that we can also safely cry together, feel together, and ultimately heal. I strive to create an environment where we can do the hard work, but it never feels too big to handle.

In terms of education, I received my B.S. in psychology from the University of Dayton before transitioning to receive my Master's in Social Work from OSU. While in school, my main area of focus was working with LGBTQ+ populations and conducting research to help better serve that community.

My areas of specialty in sessions are working with those who experience (or have experienced): anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, self-harming/suicidal ideation, relationship concerns, and neurodivergence.

No matter where you are in your journey, be it just starting out or have been in therapy for years, I look forward to supporting you in your healing.
