I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I am currently working on my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Adler University. As mental health counseling takes a holistic approach to understanding individuals as unique and multicultural beings, I understand the importance of how biological, psychological, as well as social influence may affect our overall wellbeing. My theoretical orientation integrates aspects of existentialism, Adlerian and psychodynamic theories. However, I am committed to utilizing approaches that best meet the specific needs of my clients. I am interested in exploring and collaborating with clients experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety to help them achieve peak wellness. I enjoy working with middle-aged and older adults to empower and support these individuals to attain peak wellness through the use of appropriate diagnosis, assessments, and treatment planning tools. I also enjoy working with couples to develop more effective communication, to increase intimacy, respect to foster deeper empathy and understanding.
